Your Best Life Begins With Personal Spiritual Growth

By Zoe Smith

I don't know about you but I think that no matter how relatively good your life may seem at the moment-you always want a little bit more. Now as long as you don't take it to the extreme, this is not a bad thing. I mean, be content but never satisfied-this is what will keep you reaching beyond your grasp and reaching higher heights. This sounds good but how do we do this? All your heart's desire begins with personal spiritual growth.

How is my spiritual condition any relevant to my personal development? Everything. Even the people from earlier centuries recognized their need to improve their life and they have done so by making sure that they get deeply involved in enhancing their spiritual life. Think about it, there wasn't any self-help gurus before to point people what is the right way in life? What they had were guides and teachers who taught them how to reach their fullest potential by tapping into the unlimited Source of power Himself.

So what are the steps we can take to establish an effective spiritual personal development plan? Understand that you are specifically made for a purpose in the world. Your strengths, weaknesses, and specific characteristics point you to it. What are the things that resonate in your heart? What is it that makes you happiest? You need to take a mental inventory of what you know about yourself because it will show you why you are what God made you to be.

It is critical that you know your purpose in life. When you do, you can prune away things, people and situations that do not help you reach your goals. As you continue to make your way towards your purpose (which is usually revealed a little at a time), always keep a good attitude in life. You will encounter mistakes-made by you and other people. Do what you can about them and move on. Use these experiences as a learning tool and let it go.

Also, as you cultivate a positive outlook in life, you are subconsciously attracting more good things into your sphere of existence. Any reliable personal development plan will tell you that expecting good will result in the good you desire manifesting in your life. Why is that? Your thoughts and emotions are powerful vibrations that seek to bring you things that you are in harmony with.

A great spiritual teacher once said, "It is better to give than to receive"-it is a truth not often practiced. Make a conscious effort to be generous with whatever is given to you-time, treasure or talent. You will find that not only will it be given back to you "pressed down, shaken together and running over", it will also give you deepest joy.

Gratitude is your connecting link to the Source of all supplies. Therefore, make it a point to look for things you can be grateful for in life. It is one of the most valuable things you can undertake in your journey of personal spiritual growth. Perceive the gifts that life is rewarding you with each day, and more of these blessings will come. Enjoy!

How To Change Your Life By Reinventing Yourself, And Not

By Robert L. Campanelli

We all have many beliefs within us, for example, we believe that by placing a key in the ignition of our car the car will start. Or by flipping a light switch we can alter the light within a particular area. So what if we can actually use our existing belief system to improve our life? The concept here is that by utilizing what we already believe to be true we make changes in our life by improving our existing belief system. Thereby making real and lasting changes in our life.

It's really quite simple. You see the Universe is set up to reflect our current belief system. Every belief we have is reflected back to us. If you think that everyone around you is critical and uncaring, you will find yourself very lonely, for that belief will be reflected right back onto you make no mistake about that. In today's economy many believe that 'money is tight' as a consequence they are learning about financial hardship.

The process of how to change your life probably will involve some sort of change or reinvention of yourself, but not from the perspective of a total revamp. Consider the following: Cut some seriously undisturbed time for yourself. Everything off... no multi-tasking.Grab a pen and paper and list, or storyboard if you will, every one of your strengths... think hard on this, I mean every one. Now, look at those already established strengths and search for connections or ideas you probably haven't thought of in the spirit of creating a new direction for yourself with those abilities that you already own.

So what's happening here? We're reinventing or reshaping who we are through this process, but actually, we're not. This potential reshape consists of reconfiguring elements of who we already are, not some fictitious character we're trying to create that has nothing to do with us. Personal testament becomes a must to clarify this point.

I'm a musician of 40 years, as well as a composer for 30 of those years. Long story short, my chosen musical idiom in these times does not offer the rewards of a comfortable life without some serious, and I mean serious sacrifice. That sacrifice was OK in terms of myself. But after becoming a single Dad, my reality, my focus began to alter. For the first time ever I was considering a potential life change. Let's see, a day job... not a chance in hell. What can I do?

Motivational material can be anything. If you read the Bible, try reading Psalms and Proverbs for 20 minutes a day. There are also many great authors available that you can read. My personal favorites are Tony Robbins, Lisa Diane, Jack Canfield, and Wallace Wattles, the author of "The Science of Getting Rich".

How to change your life can be seen in different light, you just have to put the time in and discover it, and then get CREATIVE with those discoveries. Realize those inherent gifts you already own and make them work for you in alternative life settings... or, a new career. I can't begin to tell you how many of those we've labeled geniuses have used that creative storyboard scenario to accomplish their goals. Reinvent... and not!

it takes real guts to get out there and do something different. But isn't it strange, when you do, do something diverse, the mickey takers only really give it a small space of time with laughter and mocking, then they're onto something or someone else; because they can't really afford the time to stand around pointing the finger and belly laughing someone, when deep down they truly admire them.So what are we worried about. Well we certainly don't want to jeopardize any of our hard earned possessions, and most of us are not seeking that extreme lifestyle change; which makes me think of the man who was looking for something different and swapped his mobile home for a canal boat. That was until just a day on the water when he was looking to exchange his new canal boat for dry land again.
