Adventure Racing & the Open-World Locations I Can See

By Rob Sutter

If there are video games which I am very much drawn to, it's those which allow you the freedom to go about whatever task you'd like. Most of the time, you'll play games and you'll be given an objective which you cannot steer too far from. However, there are a select few which give you the freedom to go about tasks at your own pace or you may be able to ignore them entirely. These are the ones which I can see adventure racing being connected to.

The "Fallout" games seem to be all about open-ended gameplay and you're allowed to go about the story at your own pace. The later games in particular gave you a narrative and a reason to push forward but it was entirely possible to ignore that section of gameplay so that you can wander off into the wasteland to see what awaited you. Sometimes it proved to be beneficial, as you could discover new locations. It made exploring all the more enjoyable and gave gamers more of an incentive to color outside of the proverbial lines.

Now that you know about the meat of the games, how does adventure racing prove to be a part of it? "The Legend of Zelda," as a series, is known for many things but I'd like to imagine that the wide landscapes proved to be of great importance. You have to consider that quite a number of these games utilized horseback riding and the speed which came with it. I always hoped that events such as Spartan Race became an inspiration and we would go on to see races in these kinds of open environments.

However, not everything is particularly rosy when it comes to these games. For example, like "Fallout," I adore the "Elder Scrolls" games but they have reputations of being ridden with bugs. Whether it's simple glitches here and there or the game crashing altogether, it's clear that there isn't a whole lot of quality control occurring. I wish that there was because as good as these games are, sometimes they are unplayable because of the issues that developers overlook or simply ignore when gamers call them out for such glitches.

Adventure racing can be a great source for competition and I hope that games start to make note of this subject more often. After all, it is a challenging event and I think that games can stand being just a little bit harder and pushing the sensibilities of gamers to higher levels. I think that they would work well, provided that any kind of issues are ironed out. Winning a race brings true satisfaction because it's a victory that was achieved through much hard work.

Will It Be A Good Option For You To Attend A Florida Flight School?

By Nate Budd

Are you dreaming about having a career flying planes? A piloting career might be your best choice, but you first need to attend a reputable flight school before you can be come a commercial pilot. The demand for qualified pilots continues to rise, but without adequate training, you won't stand a chance.

Most commercial pilots were military pilots, however there are a lot who graduated from top flight schools. Commercial pilot schools are designed to get you out into the working world in the same way that most technical training schools are. You can fly sooner and begin your career as a pilot more quickly if you take an accelerated program.

What To Look For When Applying For Flight Schools - The Top Flight Schools allow their students to fly for 12 months of the year. Flights schools can be run more efficiently if they are located where the weather is good most of the time, with Florida being a good example. Top flight schools are located in warmer climates because they can fly more throughout the year. Keep these crucial points in mind when you decide on a flight school:

Initially the important thing that should be ensured with any flight school are the simulators used by them. Since learning how to use a simulator will be a major portion of your training time, you don't want to throw your money away on a school that has out of date equipment. Before you can think about actually getting into a small aircraft and flying by yourself, try learning through a flight simulator first.

It is important to know the outcome of the graduates. Frequently a flight school will have stories written about its best students who've graduated and found work. It's a good omen and proves the school can get you a job in the aviation industry.

Finances - naturally these schools don't come free, so look into any programs a school has to help with the costs. But you don't just select a school because it costs less than the next one.

Experience - How long has the school been in the flight training business? It's a key question, and you want them to have the most experience possible. Pilots have been trained at many of the best flight schools for more than 20 years. Whenever you're considering the different options make sure to take into account how many years the school has been open.

Housing - There are schools that provide housing for students who do not come from the area. Being able to meet students and to feel like you are somewhat on your own are some of the enjoyable benefits of going to school away from home.

Research all of the possibilities before selecting a Flight School. You may not like the idea of attending a flight school that's far away from home, but the fact is that many of the top schools are located in warmer climates that provide more ideal flying weather. Make sure you choose the fight school that is the right fit for you utilizing your time.
