Interior Design Singapore Is Going Green

By Juliet Andrews

Interior design Singapore if often influenced by a number of things which dictate what future trends will be. Some of those influences are initiated by the movers and shakers in the industry, and these influences certainly do not dominate how decisions might be made among interior designers. A lot of what is setting trends is more about the uniqueness of individual designers as well as their clients.

Even present economic climates are influential in determining how people make choices concerning Singapore interior designer concepts. For instance, clients must determine if they wish to invest in specific choices because it just looks good or if it is a need. A good many of us are guilty of considering home renovation Singapore choices as something that we simply must have in our lives. The truth remains that we could do just as well without the more expensive combinations in interior design Singapore as we opt for something just as effective with a lower price tag.

As a general rule, interior design Singapore professionals are extremely proud of their ability to be resourceful as they create interior design for clients. For the most part, they understand how crucial it is to use things of value, and that certainly does describe many outdated items within the home. Finding a way that one can reuse these items is the ultimate in creativity. It does require great creativity to breathe new life into something that appears as if it has outlived its usefulness.

It has often been the tradition for many years that older items are discarded in favor of something new with no regard to the condition. No longer is it the truth that perfectly good furniture is discarded as newer pieces are brought in that may not be as well built. While styles do change, good workmanship never will. By recreating items and bringing in a new look much is to be gained.

It appears that such trend among interior design Singapore professionals is only just beginning. This is particularly true since consumers are behind these trends. The more people become attuned to the reasons behind the green movement, the more we will see recycling and repurposing items taking place. There is no reason that we should allow style and taste to get in the way when there are so many creative individuals working in interior design.

Knowing how to create the perfect feng shui bedroom layout and more

By Raymond Chang

It is very important to know how to use feng shui in your bedroom. Doing it the right way can bring you huge benefits when it comes to health and relationships. It is also important to point out that we spend one third of our entire lives in the bedroom!

For this reason I personally believe it is wrong to think that you are wasting money by investing in the perfect bedroom.

If your love life is lack-luster or simply doesn't exist, here are some changes you can make. These tips are also useful to you if you feel that your health could be better than it is currently.

1. Ensure that your bed's headboard is placed up against a wall (rather than a window or nothing at all)

2. When in bed you should be able to see the door, giving you a better feeling of security.

3. Have three sides of the bed not touching any walls, so that the chi can flow around the bed naturally. If this is not an option due to the size of the room, put a red rug under the bed to stimulate any chi that is trapped.

4. Don't position your bed to be in line with the doorway. Doing that would cause secret arrows to form. If this is not an option you can hang a crystal between the bed and the doorway to refract the killing chi caused by the secret arrows and disperse it in different directions.

Other Tips In Addition To Your Feng Shui Bedroom Layout

1. Avoid having sharp metal objects in the bedroom, such as knives, scissors, guns, etc. Sharp metal near you in bed can result in being cut, whether this means being attacked or facing surgery.

2. It is not recommended to have any large mirrors in this room, but if you do, it is imperative that you ensure you cannot see your own reflection in them when you are in bed.

3. Avoid large plants or water features in the bedroom.

4. It is important to have the right amount of lighting. The right balance of yin and yang elements here is essential (not too bright of too dim).

5. Wooden beds are preferable to metal beds, which conduct electrical currents and are therefore a concern for your health. Avoid having electrical blankets and other similar devices, as they can be harmful.

6. It is recommended to spend a large portion of your home investment money on your bedroom, as this is such an important room for your home.

7. Your bedroom should be use solely for the purpose of rest and relaxation, love and passion. If there is anything which is used for other purposes such as a desk, remove it from the room.

8. Try to have a good balance of five elements in your room.
